The upcoming Drifting Home anime movie has received a new PV that previews the insert song “Natsugare” together with some unfinished footage from the film.

The song is performed by music group ZUTOMAYO, which was announced as the theme song and insert song artist on the day of the video’s release. The staff credits for the PV include Hyperbole Inc.’s Toshiyuki Yamashita (86 Eighty Six opening director) and Rina Mitsuzumi (Gundam Breaker Battlogue ending background graphics) as director and graphic artist respectively. Hyperbole Inc. is credited with the compositing.

Drifting Home is set to premiere sometime this year on Netflix. The streaming platform describes the film as:

One summer day, Kosuke and his friends visit an apartment building that is set to be demolished, and suddenly find themselves caught in a strange phenomenon. All they can see around them is a vast sea.

The film is directed by Penguin Highway‘s Hiroyasu Ishida, who is also in charge of the screenplay with Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black series composer) and Minaka Sakamoto (Babylon scriptwriter). Other staff include Akihiro Nagae (A Whisker Away animation director) as character designer, Fumi Kato (Burn the Witch animation director) as character designer assistant, Umitaro Abe (Penguin Highway music composer) as the music composer. Studio Colorido is the animation production company.
