Nakaba Suzuki‘s Four Knights Of The Apocalypse manga is getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement comes ahead of the release of the manga’s 7th volume on May 17.

An illustration, depicting the titular Four Knights of the Apocalypse staring down against The Seven Deadly Sins from the prequel manga series, was released with the announcement.

Four Knights Of The Apocalypse is the sequel to The Seven Deadly Sins. The Kodansha-published manga began in January 2021. It is serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label.

The story involves a prophecy foretelling of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, who will appear in the near future to destroy the world. To stop the prophecy from coming true, Arthur dispatches his Holy Knights, causing the fate of Percival, a young boy living on a distant frontier, to be changed.

The original The Seven Deadly Sins manga ran from 2012 to 2020 and has inspired a multi-season anime series, several anime movies, manga spin-offs, light novels, and games. The upcoming two-part The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh movie will feature Tristan, the son of The Seven Deadly Sins protagonist Meliodas and one of the sequel manga’s Four Knights of the Apocalypse, as its main character.
