The upcoming Teasing Master Takagi-san movie has revealed its main visual, which depicts lead characters Takagi (Rie Takahashi) and Nishikata (Yuuki Kaji) with a cat.

Teasing Master Takagi-san is based on the teenage romantic comedy manga series by Souichirou Yamamoto, who also created When Will Ayumu Make His Move?. Crunchyroll describes the anime as:
“I swear I’m going to tease and embarrass Takagi-san today!” Nishikata, a middle-schooler, keeps getting teased by the girl who sits next to him in class, Takagi-san. He tries every day to get back at her, but will he ever succeed? Takagi-san and Nishikata’s youthful teasing battle starts now!
The movie’s staff includes returning series staff like Akagi Hiroaki as director; Aya Takano as character designer, Hiroaki Tsutsumi as music composer; and Hiroko Fukuda, Aki Itami, and Kanichi Katou as scriptwriters. Fukuda, who was the series composer, is also handling the movie’s story composition. Shin-Ei Animation is again the animation production company.
The Teasing Master Takagi-san manga was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday Mini in 2013 before moving to Gessan Shonen Sunday in 2016. It is published under the Gessan Shonen Sunday Comics label. Yen Press publishes the manga in English.
The manga has inspired a spin-off about a married Takagi and Nishikata and their daughter titled Karakai Jouzu no (Moto) Takagi-san (Teasing Master [Former] Takagi-san) which began in 2017. Another manga spin-off titled Koi ni Koisuru Yukari-chan (Lover of Love Yukari-chan) ran from 2017 to 2020.
