An anime adaptation of the My Happy Marriage light novels has been announced with a teaser trailer and visual. Kinema Citrus is the animation production company, while Reina Ueda and Kaito Ishikawa are playing main characters Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudou respectively.
The main staff includes Takehiro Kubota (ID:INVADED assistant director) as director; Sachiko Yasuda (Gekijouban Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight chief animation director) as character designer; and Ami Satou (22/7 scriptwriter), Takahito Oonishi (The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest scriptwriter), and Momoka Toyoda (Shadows House scriptwriter) as series composers and scriptwriters. Abo Takao (The Rising of the Shield Hero 1st season director) is credited with setting and supervision.
Other staff include Inspired’s Emi Katanosaka (Fantasia Sango) as art director, T2 Studio’s Ema Tsunetaka (Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul) as photography director, Anna Okamatsu (Show by Rock!! Stars!!) as color designer, and Evan Call (Josee, the Tiger and the Fish) as music composer.
The My Happy Marriage light novels, penned by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, began in 2019 and have five volumes as of July 2021. The books are published under Kadokawa’s Fujimi L Bunko label. A manga adaptation by Rito Kohsaka began in 2018.
