The Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These anime is set to continue with a fourth season, titled Sakubou. A teaser visual featuring Adrian Rubinsky and Dominique Saint-Pierré has been released.
The announcement comes on the Japanese premiere date of the third part of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These – Collision, the anime’s third season.
Like Collision, Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These — Sakubou will be released theatrically in three parts. The respective release dates are September 30, October 28, and November 25.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes began as a novel by Yoshiki Tanaka in 1982. It was first adapted into an anime in 1988, and with various OVA seasons and movies released until 2000. The first two seasons of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These were released in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
The main staff of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These‘s first three seasons include Shunsuke Tada as director; Yuujirou Moriyama as assistant director, Noboru Takagi as series composer; and Yoko Kikuchi, Kei Tsushima, and Iwao Teraoka as character designers. Production I.G is the animation production company.

Thousands of years into the future, humanity has advanced into space.
