A new “sakura visual” has been released for Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween, which is currently screening in Japanese theaters. The visual features Conan Edogawa, Furuya Rei, Wataru Takagi, and Miwako Sato.
The Bride of Halloween premiered in Japan on April 15. It is the 25th Case Closed anime movie and the latest since 2021’s Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet. The show took the top spot in the weekend box office rankings two weeks in a row.
The story involves a wedding between Detective Sato and Detective Takagi, which is interrupted by an attack that injures the latter. Additionally, there is a prison break involving the perpetrator of a bombing incident, and Rei Furuya has a collar bomb put on him after an encounter with a mysterious costumed person. As Conan and his circle investigate, they are targeted by a certain party.
The Bride of Halloween‘s staff includes Susumu Mitsunaka (Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File, Haikyu!! Movie 4: Battle of Concepts) as director, Takahiro Ohkura (Case Closed: The Crimson Love Letter) as scriptwriter, and Yuugo Kanno (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as music composer. TMS Entertainment is the animation production company. Meanwhile, the cast includes Minami Takayama as Conan Edogawa, Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mouri, Rikiya Koyama as Kogoro Mouri, Tooru Furuya as Rei Furuya, and Mai Shiraishi as Yelenika.
Goushou Aoyama’s Shogakukan-published Case Closed manga, or Great Detective Conan in Japanese, began in 1994 and has 100 tankoubon volumes as of October 2021. A TV anime adaptation began in 1996 and is still on-going. There have also been various OVA adaptations.
