Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween will be released in Singapore and Malaysia on June 2. The Singaporean release date was revealed by the Cathay Cineplexes Facebook page on April 25, while the Malaysian release date was revealed by GSC Movies’s Facebook page last week.
The movie premiered in Japan on April 15. It is the 25th Case Closed anime film and the latest since 2021’s Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet.
Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween‘s story involves a wedding between Detective Sato and Detective Takagi, which is interrupted by an attack that injures the latter. Additionally, there is a prison break involving the perpetrator of a bombing incident, and Rei Furuya has a collar bomb put on him after an encounter with a mysterious costumed person. As Conan and his circle investigate, they are targeted by a certain party.
The staff includes Susumu Mitsunaka (Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File, Haikyu!! Movie 4: Battle of Concepts) as director, Takahiro Ohkura (Case Closed: The Crimson Love Letter) as scriptwriter, and Yuugo Kanno (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as music composer. TMS Entertainment is the animation production company. Meanwhile, the cast includes Minami Takayama as Conan Edogawa, Wakana Yamazaki as Ran Mouri, Rikiya Koyama as Kogoro Mouri, Tooru Furuya as Rei Furuya, and Mai Shiraishi as Yelenika.
Goushou Aoyama’s Shogakukan-published Case Closed manga, or Great Detective Conan in Japanese, began in 1994 and has 100 tankoubon volumes as of October 2021. A TV anime adaptation began in 1996 and is still on-going. There have also been various OVA adaptations.
