A brief promotional video for Isekai Yakkyoku has revealed a July Japanese premiere date for the upcoming anime. Additionally, a key visual depicting main characters Falma de Médicis, Eléonore Bonnefoi, and Charlotte Soller was released.
It was also announced that Kaori Ishihara is performing the opening song “Musouteki Chronicle,” while Little Black Dress is performing the ending song “Hakuu.”
Isekai Yakkyoku is based on the light novel series written by Liz Takayama and illustrated by keepout, which began in 2016 and has eight volumes as of July 2021. The premise sees a young pharmacologist dying from overwork and reincarnating as Falma, the son of a family of royal doctors in another world. Despairing at the state of medicine in this world, Falma, who was reincarnated with his previous pharmacology knowledge as well as a cheat ability granting him Material Creation and Material Destruction, opens the Isekai Pharmacy with the servant Charlotte Soller and family tutor Eléonore.
The staff includes Keizou Kusakawa (Ahiru no Sora chief director) is directing the show with Wataru Watari (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU author) as series composer and scriptwriter and Mayuko Matsumoto (Ahiru no Sora co-key animator) as character designer. Diomedéa is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Aki Toyosaki as Falma, Reina Ueda as Eléonore, Kaede Hondo as Charlotte.
The books are published under Kadokawa’s MF Books label and have inspired a manga adaptation that began in 2017. The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2015.
