The Dr. Stone manga is getting its first stage adaptation. Titled Dr. Stone The Stage ~Science World~, it will open in Tokyo and Hyogo in July.

The play’s Tokyo run will take place at the Sunshine Theatre from July 9 to 18, while the Hyogo run will take place at AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe from July 21 to 24. Staff and cast details are set to be revealed later.

Dr. Stone The Stage ~Science World~ is described as a play that both children and adults can enjoy. According to Comic Natalie, the “science fantasy” play will involve actual science experiments as well.

The Shueisha-published Dr. Stone manga by Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi began in 2017 and has 25 tankoubon volumes as of March 2022. The series is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump and published under the Jump Comics label. A spin-off titled Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya, also by Riichirou Inagaki and Boichi, was released in 2019.

The manga has received an anime adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment and directed by Shinya Iino. The first season aired in 2019, while the second season aired in 2021. A third season is set to premiere in 2023.
