The Play It Cool, Guys comedy manga by Kokone Nata is getting an anime adaptation. The anime is set for an October premiere in Japan and has received a teaser trailer and visual.

The anime’s staff includes Chiaki Kon (Sailor Moon Eternal) as director, Makoto Uezu (Rumble Garanndoll) as series composer, Eri Taguchi (Boruto animation director) as character designer and chief animation director, and Masato Nakayama (22/7) as music composer. Studio Pierrot is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Chiaki Kobayashi as Hayate Ichikura, Kouki Uchiyama as Shun Futami, Yuuichirou Umehara as Takayuki Mima, and Shouya Chiba as Souma Shiki.

Play It Cool, Guys follows the daily lives of a group of cool but clumsy boys. The Square Enix-published manga began in 2019 and has four tankoubon volumes as of November 2021. It is serialized on Gangan Pixiv and published under the Gangan Comics Pixiv label. The manga was originally a Twitter-posted comic.
