More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers is based on the Kadokawa-published manga by Yuuki Kanamaru, which began in 2018 and has eight tankoubon volumes as of May 2, 2022. The manga is serialized in Young Ace and published under the Kadokawa Comics Ace label.
The manga follows Jiro and Akari, two students from Seisun Academy, a high school where students are forced to live as a pretend couple as a part of a “marital training” class. The two polar opposites reluctantly live together in an effort to earn more points and switch to their preferred partners.
