3rd Hyperdimension Neptunia OVA To Release With Scale Figure in April 2023

Hidamari no Little Purple, the third Hyperdimension Neptunia OVA, is set to release in April 2023 together with a Neptune Little Purple 1/7 scale figure.

There will be two bundle options that offer access to the OVA through different means. One provides a digital code for the OVA, while the other offers a limited edition Blu-ray with a jacket illustration from original character designer Tsunako. The digital code version costs 33,000 yen (~US$258.32, tax-included), while the Blue-ray and figure set costs 37,400 yen (~US$292.71, tax-included).

The Blue-ray and figure set will be released on April 26. Pre-orders for both options will end on July 11.

Screenshots, character designs, and story details for Hidamari no Little Purple were also revealed. The premise involves the Four Goddesses and their enemy Magiquone being affected by a Level Down attack. Nepgear sets out to find Neptune after losing contact, only to discover that the goddesses have reverted to their child forms. Furthermore, Neptune and Magiquone are running an eggplant plantation together after having their appearances rejuvenated and losing their memories.

The staff of Hidamari no Little Purple includes Masahiro Mukai (Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation, My Hero Academia 4 and 5) as director, Shogo Yasukawa (The Executioner and Her Way of Life series composer and scriptwriter) as scriptwriter, Hitomi Takechi (Sabikui Bisco co-main animator) as character designer, and illustrator Urimo as Little Purple designer. Okuruto Noboru is the animation production company.

Hyperdimension Neptunia is a series of role-playing games from Compile Heart that began in 2010. The david production-produced Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation TV series aired in 2013, while the Okuruto Noboru-produced OVAs began in 2019. The first OVA was Nep no Natsuyasumi, while the second was 2021’s Nep Nep Darake no Festival. Mukai, Yasukawa, and Takechi had previously worked on the first two OVAs, while Urimo had worked on the second.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

Welcome to Gamindustri, a fantastical world where all your favorite video game consoles come to life! Neptune and her fellow Goddesses rule the four kingdoms of Lastation, Leanbox, Lowee, and Planeptune—but their royal duties often take a backseat to their obsession with gaming.
